The Canadian Olympic Event horses arrived safely in Hong Kong. Madison Park (Kyle Carter), Kingpin (Mike Winter), Buenos Aires (Sandra Donnelly), Columbo (Selena O’Hanlon) and Livewire (Samantha Taylor) all stepped off the airplane straight into a climate-controlled horse van looking great. The Hong Kong Jockey Club officials demonstrated their superior skills in getting the horses off the plane, into the horse van and to the stables in less than 2 hours since the plane touched down. Now that is service!
The horses settled quicly into their new luxurious accommodation and the team is looking forward to starting their preparations for the first day of competition. The jog is August 8th with the first day of dressage competition being August 9th.
Other horses arriving include those from the Netherlands and Germany with even more horses arriving within the next couple of days. The next Canadian team horses to arrive are Dressage on July 30th.
