Friday's competition counts only towards the individual rankings.

Ashley Holzer of Toronto, ON, placed 15th in Saturday's Grand Prix Special to qualify for the Individual Final at the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong, China. Only the top 15 athletes from an original starting field of 47 qualify to contest the Grand Prix Freestyle, which acts as the Individual Final.

The Canadian Olympic Event horses arrived safely in Hong Kong. Madison Park (Kyle Carter), Kingpin (Mike Winter), Buenos Aires (Sandra Donnelly), Columbo (Selena O’Hanlon) and Livewire (Samantha Taylor) all stepped off the airplane straight into a climate-controlled horse van looking great.
Canadians Ready to make an Impact

Canada will be sending a full team to the Olympic Equestrian Events, and is optimistic its riders will make a strong showing. It has qualified teams in all three disciplines, and is looking forward to doing much better than at Athens when it had teams in two disciplines, coming 9th in Dressage and 12th in Eventing.
